SNOO Has No Sound or Crackling Audio: Speaker Troubleshooting
When SNOO motion works but white noise is missing, crackling, or intermittent, the cause can be the speaker, speaker connector, damaged wiring, or a board-level sound-output fault. Test the signal path before assuming that the speaker itself has failed.
Safety first: Unplug the SNOO before opening it. Never repair-test with a baby in the bassinet. After reassembly, reinstall both safety clips and complete the first test with the bassinet empty.
Check the full sound path
- Confirm the volume is not reduced in the app and test more than one sound level.
- Note whether the symptom is total silence, distortion, intermittent sound, or sound that changes when the unit or cord is moved.
- Disconnect power, then inspect the speaker cone, speaker leads, connector, and complete wire path.
- Look for pinched wires, broken conductors, corrosion, liquid evidence, loose pins, or prior repair work.
- If a known-good speaker and verified harness still produce no output, a motherboard sound-output fault becomes possible.
Repair choices
- Speaker or wiring fault confirmed: See the complete wiring and speaker repair kit.
- Prefer professional repair: Choose the Speaker Repair or Wiring Harness Repair option based on the confirmed fault.
- Known-good speaker and harness, but no board output: Contact SnoozyFix for approval before sending the motherboard for board-only diagnostic and repair.
A sound symptom alone does not prove a board fault. The board-only service does not diagnose the complete SNOO, so the speaker and harness checks matter.

If the result is unclear, send SnoozyFix the Date Code, bottom-label photo, and a short symptom video before ordering a major part.
