Keep the bottom serial label nearby
The serial label shows a six-digit Date Code. An early 2016 label may show a Lot code instead.
Safety first
Perform troubleshooting with the SNOO empty. Never repair-test with a baby in the bassinet. Disconnect power before removing panels, disconnecting wiring, or measuring resistance.

What is the Date Code on the serial label on the bottom?
Choose the six-digit Date Code from the bottom serial label, or choose the early 2016 option if that label has a Lot code.
Six-digit Date Code
My early 2016 label has a Lot code
I cannot find the code
Enter the six-digit Date Code
Enter the Lot code
Example: 202052 means year 2020, week 52.
Continue with this code
Enter six digits in YYYYWW format. The week must be 01 through 53.
Does the Activity Button become solid white within about one minute of plugging it in?
Is a properly installed SNOO Sack engaged on both safety clips?
Use both SNOO Sack wings. Do not bypass the safety-clip system.
If you press and hold the Activity Button to increase from Baseline to Level 1, does the platform begin moving?
Test with the SNOO empty and both Sack wings engaged. Baseline and Level 1 are different settings; the button turns purple at Level 1.
Can you hear or see the motor shaft turning even though the platform is not moving correctly?
Have the three motor O-rings already been replaced?
No, or I am not sure
Yes, with SnoozyFix upgraded motor O-rings
Yes, but they are generic or the specification is unknown
Do you already have the specialty tools needed to disassemble and realign the SNOO?
The specialty set includes the 4 mm hex key with Phillips driver, 7 mm socket, pry tool, O-ring picks, and alignment rods. Every repair also needs nail clippers or small snips for old zip ties. A 2018 or newer center-pin unit needs a #3 Phillips screwdriver.
Yes, I already have those specialty tools
No, I need the Full Tool Set
What did the thermal-fuse and motor-harness checks show?
The fuse and harness checks both pass
The thermal fuse is open or failed
I found loose contacts, broken wires, backed-out pins, corrosion, heat damage, or a prior repair
I have not completed both checks
Would you like to continue to the optional three-phase resistance comparison?
Continue to the Advanced Motor Test
Skip this test and contact support
How do the three phase-to-phase readings compare?
Unplug the SNOO and disconnect the motor from the control board. Only proceed if you can positively identify the three motor-phase contacts. Measure A-B, B-C, and A-C. Compare the readings with one another; do not use an absolute target value. Stop and send a connector photo if the three phase contacts are not certain.
All three readings are closely matched
One reading is open, OL, or materially different
The readings are unstable or extremely low
When does the white flashing occur?
After plug-in, then it becomes solid after about one minute
During a session, for one or two minutes, then it recovers
When I press Start, or the app reports Clips Not Engaged
Continuously, and it never becomes solid white
It becomes solid white, but the app cannot connect
Did you unplug the SNOO for at least one minute?
Did you test it directly in a second, known-working wall outlet?
Did you firmly reseat both power connections?
Did you test a known-good, correctly rated SNOO-compatible power supply?
Does the flashing begin immediately at startup rather than only after pressing Start with a clip error?
After waiting several minutes, does the Activity Button still never become solid white?
Which motion description is closest?
The platform starts, stops, or jerks
It moves but squeaks
It makes a rough grinding sound
The motor runs, but the platform barely moves
With the SNOO empty, can you hear the motor running when motion is requested?
After reseating the adapter and testing a known-working wall outlet, does the SNOO still fail to power on?
With both Sack wings fully engaged, is the clip error still present?
With the SNOO empty, does motion work while sound remains missing or distorted?
Do the aligned top screws spin without tightening?
Is the center fastener visibly broken or missing?
Have you visually confirmed original grooved platform supports?
Weaning Mode is likely active
The motion system operates at Level 1 even though Baseline plays sound without continuous motion.
Open the Happiest Baby app and confirm that Weaning Mode is turned on.
Turn off Weaning Mode. Do not change Motion Limiter for this symptom.
Do not buy motor, O-ring, bearing, or motherboard parts based on this result.
The safety clips are not yet confirmed
Normal operation requires both SNOO Sack wings to be engaged.
Reinstall the correct SNOO Sack on both clips and retest with the bassinet empty.
If the error remains after correct installation, follow the clip-sensor and wiring-harness diagnostic.
Do not buy a power supply or motherboard service from a clip error alone.
The motor O-rings or motion-transfer system are the first repair path
The motor shaft turns, so a replacement motor is not the first recommendation. Worn or incorrect rings can let the motor turn without moving the platform correctly.
Generic or unknown rings do not rule out the problem. Rings that look similar can still have the wrong fit or grip and allow the motor to slip.
Inspect all three small motor O-rings for glazing, looseness, cracking, incorrect fit, or contamination. Confirm that the surrounding motion-transfer components move freely.
Replace all three with the upgraded SnoozyFix motor O-rings if wear or an unknown replacement is present.
The selected O-ring kit includes three small motor O-rings, seven large platform-support O-rings, replacement zip ties, and the selected tool set.
The overmolded platform-bearing upgrade and internal motor bearings are separate products.
Use your existing specialty tools, plus nail clippers or small snips for old zip ties. A 2018 or newer center-pin unit also needs a #3 Phillips screwdriver.
The Full Tool Set includes the 4 mm hex key with Phillips driver, 7 mm socket, pry tool, O-ring picks, and alignment rods. Bring nail clippers or small snips for old zip ties. A 2018 or newer center-pin unit also needs a #3 Phillips screwdriver.
Moderate. Usually about 1 to 2 hours, with more access required on early units.
Do not buy a replacement motor when the motor shaft is turning. If the unit has overmolded supports, the seven large rings in the O-ring kit will not be used.
The mechanical motion-transfer system needs further inspection
The shaft turns and the correct motor O-rings are already installed, so another mechanical connection, support, alignment, or installation issue may remain.
Check ring tension and placement, the center hardware, all seven platform supports, drag, alignment, and any part disturbed during the repair.
Repair the confirmed mechanical fault. Contact SnoozyFix before buying another major component.
Do not replace the motor while its shaft is turning. Do not buy both original platform O-rings and overmolded supports for the same positions.
The open thermal fuse is the confirmed electrical fault
The motor does not turn and the fuse failed the continuity check.
Repeat the continuity test with power disconnected and confirm good meter contact.
Follow the thermal-fuse repair procedure before considering a motor or motherboard.
Do not buy a replacement motor or motherboard service while the fuse fault remains.
The motor harness or connector is the confirmed starting point
Visible loose contacts, broken wires, backed-out pins, corrosion, heat damage, or prior repairs can interrupt motor drive.
With power disconnected, document the damage and compare both ends of the harness with the wiring guide.
Repair or replace the confirmed damaged harness or connector.
Do not buy a motor or motherboard service before correcting the harness fault.
The basic no-motion checks are not complete
A silent motor can be caused by Weaning Mode, a fuse, wiring, connectors, the motor, or motherboard output.
Complete the thermal-fuse continuity check and inspect the full motor harness and connectors.
No major replacement is confirmed yet.
Diagnose before purchasing a replacement motor or mail-in motherboard service.
Possible motherboard motor-output problem
The motor does not turn, the fuse and harness pass, and all three motor-phase readings are closely matched. Balanced readings are useful but do not prove every motor component is working.
Recheck the motor-side connector, bearings, sensing, and harness, then send the saved results to support.
If the fuse, harness, connectors, motor, and mechanical checks pass, contact SnoozyFix for approval before purchasing the board-only motherboard diagnostic and repair service.
Do not send the motherboard for a no-motion symptom until the applicable upstream tests are complete and SnoozyFix has approved the board-level path.
Possible open or imbalanced motor winding or motor lead
One phase pair remains open, OL, or materially different after retesting.
Confirm probe contact and repeat A-B, B-C, and A-C directly at the motor-side phase contacts when those contacts are positively identified.
Replace the motor only if the same phase remains open or materially different after the connection is ruled out.
One replacement motor, three upgraded small motor O-rings, one Allen key, two zip ties, and two adhesive mounts.
Do not add separate motor O-rings; the replacement motor includes them.
The low-resistance reading is not yet conclusive
Ordinary multimeters can struggle to measure low-resistance BLDC windings, and poor probe contact can make readings unstable.
Check the meter leads and probe contact, then repeat all three phase pairs. Stop and contact support if the contacts are not certain.
No replacement is confirmed from unstable or extremely low readings alone.
Normal startup behavior
About one minute of white flashing after power-on can be the normal startup sequence when the light then becomes solid.
Wait for the solid ready light before starting a session.
No repair is indicated by this startup pattern.
Do not buy a power supply or motherboard service for normal startup flashing.
Possible interrupted or unstable power connection
An unexpected mid-session stop followed by one or two minutes of flashing and recovery is consistent with a reboot.
Remove the baby. Unplug for at least one minute, reseat both power connections, plug directly into a known-working outlet, test a second outlet, avoid strips and extensions, test a known-good compatible supply, and check whether cord movement causes another restart.
Replace the power supply only if a known-good compatible supply resolves the issue.
One compatible 12V 4A replacement power supply with an 11-foot cord.
Do not buy the motherboard boot-loop service from a recoverable mid-session restart alone.
The startup checks are not complete
Continuous flashing should not be attributed to the motherboard until outlet, connection, supply, timing, and wait checks are complete.
Complete the unanswered startup check, then restart this diagnostic.
No motherboard repair is confirmed yet.
Do not purchase the mail-in service until every required pre-purchase check passes.
Likely motherboard startup failure
Power reaches the SNOO, but startup never completes after a second outlet, reseated connections, a known-good compatible supply, and several minutes of waiting. A motherboard, firmware, or flash-memory fault is possible; this does not prove that every boot loop has corrupted flash memory.
Record a short video showing power-on through the endless flashing and photograph the bottom label before removing the motherboard.
Mail in the original motherboard for diagnosis and repair when eligible. The original device identity is preserved whenever repairable.
Board diagnosis, eligible board-level repair parts, functional testing, and return shipping within the United States.
Inbound shipping, board removal and reinstallation, shipment of the full SNOO, donor boards, and unrelated mechanical, wiring, speaker, clip, or power-supply repairs.
Tools for safe motherboard removal and reinstallation, antistatic packaging, protective padding, and a rigid shipping box.
Advanced removal and reinstallation. Target service turnaround is about seven days after receipt, often sooner.
Do not buy board service for normal startup flashing, a recoverable reboot, a clip error, or a solid-white Wi-Fi problem. Other board-level symptoms require the applicable upstream tests and SnoozyFix approval.
Wi-Fi or app provisioning problem
A solid ready light is a different condition from a SNOO that never completes startup.
Check power, the SNOO Wi-Fi button, router status, signal strength, credentials, app version, and reprovisioning steps.
Complete Happiest Baby connection troubleshooting before treating this as a hardware failure.
Do not buy the flashing-white boot-loop service for a solid-white connection problem.
Worn motor O-rings or drag in the platform support system
Inspect the three small motor O-rings, then identify whether the seven platform supports are grooved with separate large O-rings or use integrated overmolded bearings.
Replace the three small motor O-rings if worn. Replace the seven large platform-support O-rings only when retaining original grooved supports.
Recommended older-unit refresh: service the three small motor O-rings, install the overmolded platform-bearing upgrade, and include the wiring kit.
Recommended 2018 through late-2021 refresh: service the three small motor O-rings and install the overmolded platform-bearing upgrade.
Service the three small motor O-rings if worn. All 2022 and newer units already have overmolded platform supports.
Restore the original design with seven large platform-support O-rings and three small motor O-rings.
Upgrade original grooved supports with seven overmolded platform bearings and seven spacers. The O-ring kit still supplies the three small motor O-rings and tools.
On 2016, 2017, and applicable early-2018 units, inspect for older soldered clip and speaker wiring. If present, the connectorized harness is a recommended preventative upgrade while open, not a required part of every O-ring repair.
For 2018 through late 2021, refresh the seven platform-support positions with the overmolded bearing kit.
All 2022 and newer units have overmolded platform bearings. Replace a platform bearing only when it is visibly damaged.
The selected O-ring kit, overmolded platform-bearing upgrade, and wiring kit form the recommended older-unit refresh.
Recommended for 2018 through late 2021: the selected O-ring kit and overmolded platform-bearing upgrade.
Use the selected O-ring kit for the small motor O-rings and needed disassembly tools.
The O-ring kit includes three small motor O-rings, seven large platform-support O-rings, replacement zip ties, and the selected tool set. The platform upgrade includes seven overmolded bearings and seven spacers.
A zip-tie cutting tool is not included. Motor bearings and electrical parts are separate unless named in the selected path.
Moderate. About 1 to 3 hours depending on year, access, and selected repair path.
Do not install the seven large platform O-rings when converting to overmolded supports. Do not buy internal motor bearings or a motor unless separately diagnosed.
The failed part is not confirmed
Complete the matching repair guide check or send photos and a short video before ordering.
Repair only the component confirmed by the matching test.
Do not order a major replacement from the symptom alone.
