SNOO Bearing Types: Motor, Center Pivot, and Platform Supports

The word “bearing” can refer to several different SNOO components. Motor bearings, the center pivot bearing, original grooved platform supports, and overmolded platform-support bearings solve different problems and should not be treated as interchangeable size options.

Motor bearings

Motor bearings sit inside the motor assembly. Consider them only when roughness, drag, or noise remains after motor O-rings, platform supports, alignment, and external contact points have been checked. Replacing motor bearings is an advanced repair.

Center pivot bearing

The center pivot bearing is a single central component. It is not a substitute for the seven outer platform supports and is not the same as the later center locking pin.

Original grooved platform supports

Original-style supports have a groove that accepts a separate large platform O-ring. There are seven support positions. If this design is retained, the seven large rings are serviced separately.

Overmolded platform-support bearings

The overmolded design integrates the bearing surface and does not use separate large platform O-rings. All 2022 and newer units already use this design. Many pre-2022 units can be converted using the seven-bearing overmolded platform upgrade.

How to choose

  1. Find the Date Code or early Lot code on the bottom label.
  2. Identify whether each outer support is grooved with a separate ring or has an integrated overmolded surface.
  3. Decide whether you are restoring the original design or converting all seven positions.
  4. Use motor bearings only for a separately confirmed internal motor-bearing problem.

The replacement bearings product groups distinct repair components on one page. Read the selected option name and its included quantity before adding it to the cart.

Safety: Unplug before opening. Never repair-test with a baby in the bassinet. Reinstall both safety clips and perform the first test empty.
