Diagnose before purchasing

A faint click, sound without motion, or a motor that turns while the platform slips does not by itself prove motor failure. If the motor shaft turns, inspect the three small motor O-rings and the mechanical motion-transfer system first.

Tools for disassembly

The motor does not include the complete specialty disassembly tool set. If you need those tools, the O-Ring Repair Kit with Full Tool Set can be purchased with the motor. The motor already includes its three small O-rings, but the O-ring kit may still be useful for its tools and large platform rings.

Use nail clippers or small snips to remove old zip ties. A 2018 or newer unit with the center locking pin also needs a #3 Phillips screwdriver.
