SNOO O-Ring Sizes Explained: 3 Motor Rings vs. 7 Platform Rings
SNOO motion repairs can involve two different O-ring systems. The three small O-rings transfer motion at the motor. Seven much larger O-rings support the moving platform only on units that retain the original grooved platform supports. They are not interchangeable.
The three small motor O-rings
- Quantity: three
- Location: the motor motion-transfer assembly
- Purpose: transfer motor rotation into platform movement
- Common symptoms when worn: slipping, jerky motion, weak travel, or a motor that runs while the platform barely moves
- Used across model years when the installed motor-transfer rings need service
The seven large platform-support O-rings
- Quantity: seven
- Location: the seven original grooved platform-support positions
- Purpose: support and guide the moving platform in the original design
- Used only when retaining grooved supports that accept separate large rings
- Not installed on the overmolded platform-support design
What changes with the overmolded upgrade
The overmolded platform-bearing upgrade replaces the seven original grooved support positions with seven overmolded bearings and seven spacers. After that conversion, do not install the seven large platform O-rings. The three small motor O-rings are still a separate part of the motion-transfer system.
What comes in the SnoozyFix O-ring kit
Every SnoozyFix O-ring kit option includes three small motor O-rings and seven large platform-support O-rings. The tool-set choice changes what tools are included. A 2022 or newer SNOO already has overmolded supports, so routine O-ring service generally uses only the three small motor rings from the kit.
Before ordering: Find the Date Code and visually identify the installed platform supports. If you cannot tell which design you have, send SnoozyFix a bottom-label photo and a clear support photo.
