SNOO Will Not Power On or Has Unreliable Power: Troubleshooting

A SNOO that will not power on can have a wall-outlet problem, loose connection, damaged cable, failed power supply, or an internal fault. Start outside the unit before opening it or purchasing a motherboard service.

Safety first: Unplug the SNOO before opening it. Never repair-test with a baby in the bassinet. After reassembly, reinstall both safety clips and complete the first test with the bassinet empty.

External checks first

  1. Unplug the SNOO for at least one minute.
  2. Reseat the power connector at the SNOO and the connection at the power supply.
  3. Plug directly into a known-working wall outlet. Avoid power strips and extension cords during diagnosis.
  4. Test a second known-working outlet.
  5. Inspect the adapter, cable, and white SNOO plug for damage, looseness, heat, or an intermittent connection when the cord moves.
  6. If available, test a known-good compatible SNOO power supply.

When a replacement power supply makes sense

If a known-good compatible supply restores stable operation, replace the failed adapter with the 12V 4A white-plug SNOO-compatible power supply. It is compatible across SNOO model years that use the white plug.

When to stop

If the SNOO remains completely unresponsive with a verified outlet and known-good compatible supply, an internal power-path or motherboard fault is possible. Do not order board repair from that symptom alone. Send SnoozyFix the test results and bottom-label information so the next internal check can be identified.
