SNOO Center Pin Broken or Platform Lifting: What to Check
A broken or missing center fastener can let the SNOO platform lift, pop loose, or fail to remain secured. The replacement depends on the installed hardware, because early SNOO units do not use the later push-down, quarter-turn center locking pin.
Safety first: Unplug the SNOO before opening it. Never repair-test with a baby in the bassinet. After reassembly, reinstall both safety clips and complete the first test with the bassinet empty.
Identify the hardware first
- Find the Date Code or early Lot code on the bottom label.
- Inspect the center hardware without forcing it.
- For the later design, push the pin down before turning it so the locking tab can clear the stop.
- Look for a broken locking tab, missing pin, damaged compression foam, or damage to the surrounding mount.
- If the unit is pre-2018 or the hardware does not match the photos in the guide, send a photo before ordering.
Repair path
For a confirmed 2018 or newer push-down, quarter-turn design, compare the replacement center locking pin with compression foam ring. It is not the correct part for early center hardware.
Do not operate or test the SNOO if the moving platform is not secured. If the surrounding structure is cracked or deformed, stop and request a repair assessment rather than replacing only the pin.
Continue through the interactive center-pin diagnostic.
If the result is unclear, send SnoozyFix the Date Code, bottom-label photo, and a short symptom video before ordering a major part.
