Motherboard service guide

Remove, document, and pack the motherboard safely

This guide supports the SnoozyFix mail-in service. Connector layouts can vary. Photograph your exact board and every connection before removal, and stop if the hardware does not match what you can identify safely.

Review the mail-in service first

Before touching a connector

Make a visual record of your unit

Photograph the bottom label

Capture the Date Code, serial number, and full label. Keep the original image with your order records.

Photograph every connector

Take one full-board photo and close-ups showing wire color, orientation, and socket location before disconnecting anything.

Handle the housing, not the wires

Release the connector’s visible latch and pull on the plastic housing. Never pull directly on wires. If it resists, stop and ask for help.

Photo limitation: SnoozyFix will add annotated connector photos only after verifying each actual connector variation. This guide intentionally does not show a guessed connector or probe location.

Removal sequence

Work slowly and preserve every connection

  1. 1

    Confirm power is disconnected

Verify the wall adapter and the SNOO connector are both unplugged before disassembly.

  2. 2

Open only the required access area

Use the appropriate model-year disassembly instructions. Keep fasteners organized by location and do not force trim or panels.

  3. 3

    Document the installed board

Photograph the entire board, then each connector and wire route closely enough to guide reinstallation.

  4. 4

    Release connectors by their housings

Support the socket, depress the visible latch where fitted, and move only the plastic housing. Do not pry the board socket or pull wires.

  5. 5

Remove the board without flexing it

Remove its retaining hardware, support the board by the edges, and keep fingers away from components and contacts.

  6. 6

    Check the shipping contents

Send the motherboard only. Do not send the full SNOO, power supply, wiring harnesses, speaker, motor, or loose hardware unless SnoozyFix separately authorizes it.

Packing checklist

Protect the board from static, bending, and impact

Anti-static bag

Place the board fully inside a proper anti-static bag. Do not use bare plastic directly against the board.

Protective padding

Pad every side so the bagged board cannot move, bend, or contact the box wall.

Rigid shipping box

Use a sturdy box, not a flexible mailer. Seal all openings securely.

Order identification

Place the printed order confirmation or a packing slip with the order number inside the box.

After the repaired board returns

Reinstall from your photographs, then empty-test

  1. 1

    Keep power disconnected

Seat the board and every connector using your original photos. Confirm orientation and locking engagement without forcing a connection.

  2. 2

    Restore all guards and hardware

Reinstall every cover, fastener, wire route, and strain-relief point before reconnecting power.

  3. 3

    Run a complete empty-SNOO test

With no baby in the unit, confirm startup completes, the light becomes solid, wireless and app connection work, sound and motor output work, and both safety clips are detected.

  4. 4

    Stop if anything differs

Disconnect power and contact SnoozyFix if a connector, wire route, light sequence, sound, motion, or safety-clip result differs from the expected test.
